August 4th

Hello everyone!

This week has just been a huge roller coaster! Our area is struggling just a little bit, we have been working hard to have lessons but no one lets us in. We even had a great lesson with a couple last week and when we returned for our next appointment they gave us our Book of Mormon back and said if they want us to come they will call us. When things like that happen it can be disappointing, but we have to remember to never get discouraged and keep doing our very best and the Lord will do the rest.

Although there were a few lows this week, it was all made up for by a beautiful baptism of two different investigators that I used to teach! JJ is 13 and Juan is 80 and they are both truly amazing. I actually cried at the baptism. It's so special to know that I was a small part of them taking the step to follow Jesus Christ. Not only that, but providing them with a way to achieve eternal life. There is literally nothing more important in the entire universe. It's the only reason that God sent us to Earth, to be able to go back to live with Him again. And now they can! And I was blessed enough to be able to help them! Amazing!

Another cool thing that happened this week:

I checked out my family history and, long story short, ended up discovering someone had done it on both sides of my family all the way back to the 1500's!!!! And the temple work is in the process of being done for many of my ancestors. I was thrilled and the family history consultants could not believe it. One said they have never seen a family tree go back that far! So I must have family on both sides who are members, who I don't even know about!

Well I'm out of time! Love you all!
